Creativity Beats Brute Force: The Lesson of Wii
It's always fun to know that a little creativity can always beat brute force. For several years, Nintendo's Game Cube got trounced by Sony Playstation and Microsoft Xbox. Nintendo's counter-attack?
Instead of throwing more money to make chip technology faster and faster, Nintendo took a step back and did some creative thinking. It came up with the now famous wireless motion controllers.
Here is BBC's assessment of Wii's simple brilliance:
Sony has sunk billions into its Cell processor, and Microsoft a similar amount on its entry into the market and push into the online space, while Nintendo has spent less than $5.50 for a sensor which has transformed gaming for many.

I fully agree. Creative think
I fully agree. Creative thinking usually wins over the "I'll just throw more money at the problem" approach.
I'm glad to see Nintendo is having a successful year with the Wii. I was worried about Nintendo because for years they haven't been able to keep up with it's competition.
Sure they have a few game titles that keep people buying nintendo over and over, but overall, they just don't seem to have the same pull for new users as the other consoles.

Wii Rules
Creativity need not to be a high-tech ideas it only needs cleverness. I thought I'm going to wait Wii's availability in our market for so long good thing I did not.
