A cleaner look (tinkering with Drupal CSS)
I was finally able to continue tweaking the Drupal default CSS (xtemplate.css). It took me a while to figure out which CSS element went where. I hope you like the cleaner look.
Drupal's default CSS is very crude. It has got too much white space scattered around the elements. The titles on the main body and the blocks compete for attention. Because they are the same size and color. The menus take up too much space and compete for attention with the main text. So I played around the CSS to remedy the problems.
What greatly helped me was the Web Developer plug-in for Firefox. Using this plug-in, I was able to trace which CSS element controlled the look on the actual page.
I haven't tested it in IE though. So if you're using IE and the display is not okay, just post a comment here and I'll attend to it as soon as I free up some time again.
