The Adventures of Captain Cranium
"The Adventures of Captain Cranium" is a short comic strip that I write for Spark Magazine (Hinge-Inquirer Publications). It's a cool science and exploration magazine for children, with lots of experiments and articles.

If you have kids, buy them a copy.
I write a science column also titled Captain Cranium, where children can ask questions on any thing they want to understand. I also write the comic strip, excellently drawn by Leo Alvarado.
I'm attaching the PDF files of the comic strip.
Story #1: In which Capt. Cranium and his sidekick, Ting, save a town from a volcano. (Download PDF: 232 Kb)
Story #2: In which Capt. Cranium escapes from a trap by Dr. Tepok. (Download PDF: 1.8Mb)
The challenge in writing The Adventures of Capt. Cranium was that we had to tell an interesting story complete with conflict and climax in 8 frames or less. I loved the art and Spark made Capt. Cranium their mascot.
Update: Sadly, Spark Magazine folded up this year (methinks it was lack of marketing ability -- many people wanted it but didn't know where to get it). The third story script was completed but the artwork wasn't. I still want to continue writing Capt. Cranium, but I'm not sure if the artist can still do it gratis. I'm thinking of posting the script here if anyone wants to continue drawing it. :)
